Martin Scorsese directs this black comedy starring Griffin Dunne. After another tedious day at work, Paul Hackett (Dunne) meets Marcy Franklin (Rosanna Arquette) - an encounter which leads to the craziest and most hellish night of his life. Later, on the way to Marcy's apartment, his $20 for the taxi fare flies out the cab's window.
Chaos soon unfolds, bringing about a series of nightmarish disasters which block his attempts to return home. Crossing paths with burglars, punks and a mysterious waitress, he is eventually pursued by a relentless mob before being trapped inside a creation of plaster and papier-mâché by a sculptor. The cast also includes John Heard, Linda Fiorentino and Catherine O'Hara.
