Andy Warhol protégé Paul Morrissey writes and directs this stylised cult adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic tale. Baron Von Frankenstein (Udo Kier) is consumed with the desire to create a new race of perfect, obedient humans and attempts to find the parts he requires from corpses. However, he cannot find the perfect head or brain and begins looking for live victims.
Meanwhile, Baroness Katrin Frankenstein (Monique van Vooren) feels neglected by her husband and seeks someone to satisfy her appetites. Young stable boy Nicholas (Joe Dallesandro) may be exactly who they are looking for but he could also spell doom for them both. The cast also includes Arno Jürging, Srdjan Zelenovic and Dalila Di Lazzaro.
