Although he is primarily known for his acting work, Denis Leary began life in the entertainment industry as a stand-up comic of some repute. His show No Cure For Cancer won him plaudits across the globe, and saw Leary attacking such contemporary phenomena as fitness freaks, parenthood, drug taking, smoking, vegetarians, and a lot more besides. Leary works himself into a frenzy as he storms across the stage, while also taunting nonsmokers in the audience by constantly billowing smoke into the air from a constant chain of cigarettes.
