Count Arthur Strong: Series 1

Steve Delaney stars as the befuddled, malapropism-dropping former variety star in this TV comedy based on the popular BBC Radio 4 sitcom. After a life spent resolutely denying his own infallibility, 72-year-old Doncastrian thespian Count Arthur Strong, beset by memory loss and delusions of grandeur, is eventually tracked down by Michael (Rory Kinnear), after his father Max Barker, Arthur's former variety partner and self-proclaimed 'national treasure', dies. But as he attempts to gain some anecdotes about his father for a proposed biography, his last chance for fame, the bookish, reserved Michael realises too late that he's fallen into the chaotic maelstrom that constitutes Arthur's world.
