Matthew Laborteaux and Kristy Swanson star in this sci-fi horror directed by Wes Craven. Paul Conway (Laborteaux) - a teen prodigy who designed and built his own robot, BB - moves house with his mother and finds himself living next door to Samantha Pringle (Swanson) and her abusive, alcoholic father Harry (Richard Marcus). As Paul and Samantha get to know each other better, they grow closer, until Harry's actions leave her in a coma.
