Fame (1980)

In Alan Parker's Fame, teenagers selected for the prestigious NYC School for the Performing Arts arrive for their first day of tuition with dreams of stardom. Whether it's streetwise Coco (Irene Cara), timid Doris (Maureen Teefy), tortured soul Montgomery (Paul McCrane), macho Raul (Barry Miller) or soulful Bruno (Lee Curreri) they all have their insecurities and all face the same struggle to find their own identities.
