All six films in the darkly comic teen horror franchise. In 'Final Destination' (2000), having boarded an aeroplane ready to embark on a school trip to France, Alex (Devon Sawa) suddenly has a premonition that it will explode. He tries to convince his friends to disembark, causing so much trouble that he and six others are eventually ejected before take-off.

Shortly afterwards, whilst standing in the departure lounge, they see the plane destroyed in a mid-air explosion. Later, after three of the group have died in strange circumstances, Alex becomes convinced that Death feels cheated and is now trying to collect the debt. Can Alex convince his other friends of this before they too meet their untimely ends? In 'Final Destination 2' (2002), Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) is the only survivor from Flight 180 and has been placed in a mental institution as she lives in constant fear that Death is coming to claim her.

Meanwhile Kim (A.J. Cook) experiences a vision of a horrible accident and is convinced that she has just escaped death. When the two girls are brought together by a sympathetic police officer, they find themselves trying to prevent Death from taking both them and all the others he has missed.

In 'Final Destination 3' (2006), Wendy Christensen (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has a fatal premonition of a disastrous rollercoaster accident that involves her and her friends. She warns everyone and gets herself and many of her friends off the rollercoaster before it begins its journey. When the ride sets off, it crashes, just like in her premonition, leading the unseen forces of darkness to set out once again to kill the survivors that were supposed to die in the freak accident.

In 'The Final Destination' (2009), a day at the races turns grisly after teenager Nick O'Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a nightmare about one of the cars crashing and killing him and all his friends. He manages to warn his friends and they escape the accident, which happens as he foretold - but little do the survivors know that this is only the beginning, as Death sets out to collect those who evaded their fate in a series of ever more creative and gruesome ways. In 'Final Destination 5' (2011), a bridge collapses but leaves a few survivors behind.

Having cheated death, they soon realise their days are now numbered as normally straightforward activities such as laser eye surgery, gymnastics and acupuncture go horribly wrong. Can any of the survivors find a way to change their destiny? Finally, in 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' (2025), college student Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) discovers that she has inherited premonitions from her grandmother Iris (Gabrielle Rose). After seeing visions of a rooftop restaurant catching fire and collapsing, Stefani realises that she must speak with her family to find out what it means.

When Stefani locates her grandmother, Iris tells her that she once thwarted Death's intentions and now Stefani must do the same...
