When King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) assumes the Iron Throne, he divides his kingdoms by naming his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy/Milly Alcock), as his heir, sparking a deadly war of succession. In this season, King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) assembles the Small Council in the wake of a murder, the Brackens and the Blackwoods fight a deadly battle, and Jason Lannister (Jefferson Hall) sets out with his army to the Golden Tooth.
