Alain Resnais directs this French drama starring Claude Rich and Olga Georges-Picot. When he leaves hospital after surviving a suicide attempt, Claude Ridder (Rich) is approached by a private research company to take part in an experiment involving time travel. With nothing left to lose following the death of his terminally ill partner, he accepts the assignment, but will revisiting the past prove to be worth it?
