Kathryn Newton stars in this horror comedy directed by Zelda Williams. After her mother is killed by an axe murderer, teenager Lisa Swallows (Newton) struggles to come to terms with the loss and spends most of her free time in the local cemetery. When the Victorian man whose grave she regularly speaks to rises from the dead after his grave is struck by lightning, he seeks her out, but he is mute and missing multiple body parts.
