LAPD detective Chris Raven (Pratt) helped to develop the Mercy programme, an advanced judicial system powered by artificial intelligence which now acts as judge, jury and executioner for criminals on trial. When he awakens hungover and restrained in the courtroom to find himself accused of the murder of his wife Nicole (Annabelle Wallis), he has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to AI Judge Maddox (Ferguson) or face the consequences.
