Her column proves successful but when a woman who wrote to her is murdered, Maria and her friend Jessie (Kylie Fisher), a journalist, are determined to solve the crime.
In this season, a fire devastates the town of Eden. Meanwhile, Hattie (Jennifer Steyn) decides to run for mayor and Gordon (Richard Wright-Firth) is determined to prove that Maria killed her husband 15 years ago.
