When Australian-born DI Mackenzie Clarke (Anna Samson), who works for the Metropolitan Police in London, is accused of falsifying evidence, she is forced to return home to Dolphin Cove in disgrace. However, she has few friends in Australia either after she left her fiancé Glenn Strong (Tai Hara) at the altar.
