Every Sunday young Ahmad's (Brandon Hammond) family gathers for Sunday dinner at his grandmother's (Irma P. Hall) house. When Ahmad's grandmother falls into a coma, however, the family begins to splinter. Ahmad's Uncle Lem loses his job, Aunt Teri (Vanessa L.
