England 1958/Chicago 1957 combines two live concerts featuring the legendary jazz saxophonist Stan Getz. Included first are six tracks showcasing Getz playing in England in May of 1958 and backed by guitarist Herb Ellis, pianist Lou Levy, bassist Ray Brown, and drummer Gus Johnson. The second five tracks are a more star-studded affair featuring Getz performing live in Chicago in 1957 alongside trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, saxophonist Sonny Stitt, and several members of the Modern Jazz Quartet. ~ Matt Collar
