Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn star in this classic adventure drama directed by John Huston. When her village is destroyed during WWI, British missionary Rose Sayer (Hepburn) is forced to team up with Canadian river trader Charlie Allnut (Bogart). The pair take an immediate dislike to one another with moralistic Rose unimpressed with Charlie's uncouth ways and his fondness for alcohol.
