The Butterfly Effect - Evan Trehorn (Ashton Kutcher) is a college student who has suffered from blackouts and memory loss since he was a child. Tormented by deeply repressed childhood memories he has visions of his best friend and first love Kayleigh (Amy Smart) as a child (Irene Gorovaia) whose Dad (Eric Stoltz) is a child molester and whose brother Tommy has a serious sadistic streak. In search of greater clarity Evan pores over his journals and is physically transported back in time where he is still a young boy and has the ability to change what happened.

The Butterfly Effect 2 - After his girlfriend, Julie (Erica Durance Smallville), and two best friends are killed in a tragic car accident, Nick (Eric Lively The 'L' Word, American Pie) struggles to cope with his loss and grief. Suffering from migraine-like seizures, Nick soon discovers that he has the power to change the past via his memories. However, his time-traveling attempts to alter the past and save his one true love have unexpected and dire consequences in the present.

The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations - After discovering that he has the ability to travel back and forth through time, Sam Reed (Chris Carmack) becomes a law-enforcement affiliate who aids the police by using his skills to identify killers. There’s one golden rule of his practice: whether on purpose or by accident, don’t alter, interfere, or interact with anyone, as the results could change the future forever. Reed breaks that rule in an attempt to help his murdered girlfriend’s sister find the perpetrator. But with each attempt to fix what he’s altered, he only finds himself in a deeper mess.
