Mikhail Kalatozov's critically-acclaimed, romantic tragedy starring Tatyana Samojlova. Young Moscow couple, Veronika (Samojlova) and Boris (Aleksey Batalov), are deeply in love but are separated when Boris volunteers to join the army during World War II.
