Lance Guest and Robert Preston star in this sci-fi action adventure directed by Nick Castle. Alex Rogan (Guest) is a frustrated teenager who finds solace playing an arcade game called Starfighter in which the player is tasked with defending the Frontier against invading Ko-Dan forces. When he becomes the game's highest scoring player, he is approached by its inventor Centauri (Preston), who reveals that the interstellar conflict is real and Alex's skills are needed aboard a Starfighter spacecraft to help defeat the Ko-Dan Empire.
