Sister Irene (Farmiga) is now living a quiet life in Italy after the horrors of Saint Cartha's monastery four years prior, but is still experiencing troubling visions. When a disturbing death is discovered in Tarascon, France, Irene is requested at the behest of the Cardinal (David Horovitch) to investigate the matter.
