Hasan Hadi directs this drama set in Iraq in 1991. When nine-year-old Lamia (Baneen Ahmad Nayyef) is selected by her teacher to bake a cake in honour of President Saddam Hussein's birthday, she knows she will be punished if she does not comply. However, her grandmother is poor and food is expensive and scarce due to the war and the ensuing sanctions.
