Nick Broomfield directs this documentary which explores the life and career of Brian Jones, the man who formed the Rolling Stones when he was 19 years old but died at the age of 27. Inspired by blues music, Jones founded and named the band but became unhappy with the musical direction Keith Richards and Mick Jagger sought to pursue. He began to abuse drugs and alcohol and his performances became increasingly unreliable until he was fired from the band in June 1969.
Less than a month later he was found drowned in his swimming pool. Interviews and archival footage are featured as Broomfield considers Jones's legacy and his place in musical history.
