Double bill of horror thrillers. In 'The Woman' (2011) a misogynistic lawyer attempts to civilise the last remaining member of a wild clan. Chris Cleek (Sean Bridgers) is married with a young family.

One day in the woods near his home he comes across a feral woman (Pollyanna McIntosh) bathing and decides to take her home with him so that he can civilise her. The woman is so dangerous that he chains her up in the basement before introducing her to his wife Belle (Angela Bettis) and their children. However, the methods Chris employs under the guise of civilising the woman are vicious and sadistic and keeping her captive could threaten the lives of his entire family.

In the prequel 'Offspring' (2009), George Chandler (Art Hindle), the retired sheriff of a small coastal town in Maine, is called back into action after a series of grisly murders. The crimes are eerily reminiscent of an outbreak of break-ins and abductions which took place several years before and turned out to be the work of a cave-dwelling clan of primitive cannibals who have now returned to terrorise another family.
