All ten episodes from the second season of the crime drama based on the memoir by Jake Adelstein. American reporter Jake Adelstein (Ansel Elgort) is the first foreigner to be hired by prestigious Japanese newspaper Meicho Shimbun and is made to prove himself by starting in a junior role. His desire to climb the professional ladder and his growing interest in the dark underbelly of Tokyo leads him to connect with Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe), who exposes Jake to a hidden Tokyo where the yakuza assert their dominance over the city.
In this season, Jake and Hiroto investigate some of the people involved in Polina (Ella Rumpf)'s murder, Claudine (Nadine Parkes) loses her job at the club, and Shinzo (Ayumi Tanida) and Hitoshi (Shun Sugata) agree to work together against the police. The episodes are: 'Don't Ever F**king Miss', 'Be My Number One', 'Old Law, New Twist', 'Like a New Man', 'Illness of the Trade', 'I Choose You', 'The War at Home', 'The Noble Path', 'Consequences' and 'Endgame'.
