Ordinary situations are turned into scenes of hysterical and mind bending comedy, whether it's meeting his girlfriend's parents for the fist time in 'Meet the Folks' (co-starring Prunella Scales, Tony Selby and Caroline Aherne), sharing a sleeping carriage with his girlfriend on a train in 'Off the Rails' (co-starring Jo Unwin), or working in an all-night petrol station in 'Late Shift' (co-starring John Thomson).
